Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Salim Muhammad AlMalik, Director General of the ICESCO

On March 26, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Salim Muhammad AlMalik, Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO), on the framework of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Geneva.

The importance of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network Conference and the relevance of the discussed matters were emphasized at the meeting. It was noted that granting observer status to the ICESCO in the NAM PN will contribute to cooperation between the organizations.

At the meeting, ideas were exchanged on future activities between the NAM PN and ICESCO.
