Meeting at the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the delegation of the National Assembly of the People's Power of the Republic of Cuba

On June 29 Mr. Ali Huseynli, the First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with a delegation led by Ms. Ana Maria Mari Machado, Vice President of the National Assembly of the People's Power of the Republic of Cuba, visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network.

Welcoming the guests, the First Deputy Speaker expressed his satisfaction with the participation of the Cuban delegation in the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network hosted by Azerbaijan. Speaking of the big role that the Cuban state and politicians played in the Non-Aligned Movement currently chaired by Azerbaijan, Mr. Ali Huseynli highlighted the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Cuba in international organizations, including the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement, and the mutual support between our countries.

Ms. Ana Maria Marie Machado, Vice President of the Cuban National Assembly, expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome. Ms. Ana Maria highly appreciated the initiatives to further strengthen the Non-Aligned Movement under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan, noted the importance of establishing the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, emphasized the high level of organization and hospitality shown by Azerbaijan, and wished success to the organization.

Meeting was continued with the exchange of opinions on other issues of mutual interest.
